Strategic Diversity Prioritization Workshop
Diversity councils, committees and task forces can be excellent resources for leading diversity efforts. However, sometimes organizations neglect the professional development of these teams. Talented and capable people are assigned this very important task but don’t necessarily possess the knowledge, experience or skills required to develop strategic priorities or tactical approaches. The unintended consequence can be disjointed and ineffective tactics that have no strategic link to the organization’s mission.
DLA’s Strategic Diversity Prioritization Workshop provides leadership development for the council, then leads them through a process of identifying strategic priorities and the tactical programmatic activities that can achieve those priorities. The workshop also includes a chartering process that helps define the role, scope and authority of the council so that it avoids the perception of usurping subject matter experts that should remain responsible for tactical execution.
