Much attention is given to diversity in the business sector. Organizations in every industry have developed diversity programs to support positive and productive work environments. While these programs are benefitting for-profit businesses, other organizations in the nonprofit sector seldom have the resources or focus to address their diversity challenges and opportunities. Educational institutions, faith-based groups, government, law enforcement, nonprofit, etc. all face similar issues as for-profit businesses. However, few resources exist to bring leaders together across all these sectors so they can learn to build better organizations and communities. In partnership with two outstanding organizations – The Richard W. Riley Institute at Furman University and Butler Community College – DLA has developed a game-changing community leadership program.
